This is an 18" x 22" acrylic painting. The very center of the painting, depicting the goldfish is on stretched canvas. It was placed inside a larger stretched canvas that was laid upside-down. The painting, which began in the middle canvas, was continued over onto the back side of the upside-down canvas. The wood of the larger upside-down canvas was then covered by gold foil to frame the painting. A wide wood frame was then added to the entire piece. The end effect is a very multi-tiered painting. The background of the goldfish is painted in mottled complimentary colors. Some oxygen bubbles from the fish have been painted, and, along-side these bubbles, peach, translucent, acrylic, round stones are glued to increase the tactile nature of this piece. The title of the painting is, "Goldy". Professional grade paints and artist materials were used to create this painting.
