Summer flowers in bloom are hard to resist! This fabric art wall hanging, shaped like a kite, brings the summer flowers indoors in a unique shape. The breadth of the kite displays the sun's rays, and above the sun, the kite tapers to a dark night. A sun shape is appliqued at the top of the dark section, and the border picks up the celestial theme on star studded fabric. The long end of the kite shows summer flowers in green grass. As you can see from the photos, pockets were sewn at each corner of the kite to allow insertion of a dowel for stability. The tail of the kite is made from wired ribbon and can be tacked using pins on the wall to create a sense of blowing in the wind. Rings were sewn on to allow hanging. The fabric on the back of this kite is a different sky fabric, but I included this photo to show how the dowels are used. These photos are from a kite I sold earlier this year. Complete with a tail and supporting struts, your kite will soar beautifully on your wall. Measurements: Approx. 45" long by 24" wide, not including the tail. Shipping charges reflect additional shipping for the dowels as the one is just short of four feet and needs a lengthy box for shipping.
