Each melted crayon art painting that I create is made with love and is absolutely one of a kind. I designed a silhouette of a man and woman embracing in the rain, embracing and sharing an umbrella, symbolizing the strength of their love. My designs are made into vinyl decals, which are placed into all my scenes. I spend hours in my steamy garage in Florida dripping hot wax onto the canvas, to create the rain effects. It is kind of a dangerous job! Then in the final production I carefully remove the covering with a hot blade, as not to disturb the wax. "Crash and Burn 2" is an encaustic (beeswax and a resin hardener) abstract painting depicting perhaps a wave crashing ashore. Shellac, which has been burned into a unique shape and texture, is over the lower section. Product Details:This is an encaustic painting on a cradled panel. The edges are painted black. On the back is the artist's signature. French Cleat Mount:Rather than hooks and wires, the rear top lip of the painting is cut at an inward 45 degree angle. An included wall mount with drywall screw is cut at a counterpart 45 degrees. Thus the painting hugs the wall flush when hung. 12" circle of glass. The disc is entirely hand made of glass. Glass powder was used first to create the water and sky. Then chunks of glass formed the mountains. Individual grass blades and plants were cut. All were assembled together and then fused multiple times in my kiln to achieve the depth and texture. All the glass was hand cut and assembled then fired in the kiln at high temperatures multiple times. The Acacia tree stand is laser cut aluminum that I've painted black.
