This work has a lot of depth and layers to it due to the encaustic and my application techniques.My grounded series uses pages from old psychology books, mainly those of Carl Jung, James Hillman and Fritz Perls. Using collage, encaustic (wax), image transfers and paint, I explore the writings and theories as well as how nature, myth, and archetypes can capture and connect to our deeper purpose and desires. As James Hillman stated, the tree suits our notion of personality growth, and indeed appears as a spontaneous metaphor for the imperceptible expansion from seed to fullness.This painting is on a cradled wood panel with finished black edges. This is a unique fiber art made on cotton cloth with hand dyed silk threads in a geometrical pattern. Traditional motifs were creatively placed to form geometrical pattern and are hand embroidered/embellished with excellent silk thread embroidery. A square wall hanging that can be hung straight or diagonally. Turquoise, white, green, red and orange colors are slathered balancing the tone of each color on black background. Very eye pleasing work of art created with lots of love care, patience and hard meticulous work. I have created four hooks at the corners. You can use simple push pins or double sided tape to place it on the wall. Very colorful and unique wall hanging, a viewers delight.
