Wetland Diorama Shadowbox of Handmade Frog Pin, Flower Brooch, Dragon Fly Pin, and Butterfly Brooch 11 3/4" inches X 10 X 1 1/2" "with Plexiglas Door. First I went to the Wetlands and got Purple Cattails (in top left of scene) and leaves. I dried, ironed and waxed them. But alas after two years display in enclosed shadowbox, the leaves lost their color. So I painted them. The mixed media used in this diorama scene are: paints, fabric, beads, cattails, felt, organza wire, clasps, thread, batting, ribbons. The 2 1/4"x 1 1/2" frog Brooch is made with a rubber frog fishing lure. The 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" Butterfly Brooch is made with ribbons, beads, organza, wire, luminous trim and clasp on back. The 2" x 2 3/4" Orange Carnation is orange dyed organza, green felt embellished with stitches, and clasp on back so you can remove and wear (same as other 3brooches). The 3" x 3 1/2" Dragonfly brooch has a black shiny bead head with two little eye beads luminous organza lined with wire to shape wings and sewn with metallic blue and gold floss. His tail is made of glass dark blue bugle beads. Also has clasp on back. As you can tell, I love the wetlands and think the nature of it all is beautiful! I ship everywhere. F
