This painting is a very romantic piece, perfect as a gift for newlyweds, anniversaries, or just any happy couple that you adore (including you!). This painting is not like a normal painting, it is an Encaustic Wax Painting. I used a black silhouette of a couple embracing in the rain, with the man holding his girl safely under the umbrella. It has a slight cartoon-ish feel to it. My next step was dripping hot wax all over my canvas to imitate rain! It can be a very trying process sometimes, but I also have fun working on these pieces. The rain is made of different contrasting colors, depending on which option you chose. This version has side rain! This creates an even bigger challenge, but the effect is intoxicating. This will look great on any wall color and will definitely be a conversation piece for guests. ***This listing is not for a piece of art that has already been made, it will be made specially for you when you order! Please allow about a week for me to create the painting and 2-4 days for it to arrive in the mail (International takes longer). *** I use USPS with custom sized boxes, and wrap them well so they won't get damaged in the mail.
