The phrase that says it all - I gathered reclaimed/salvaged wood some from a recent barn down in Attica Mi built in 1892 and some mixed clean pine - I cut - sand and join 3 planks of wood and join them on the back with 2 small wood pieces so all is secured, I then stain my wood surface with a spar of walnut or near ebony wood stain - top with a crisp white flat enamel. This piece measures approx 16 x 25 ". my lettering is a nice mix of fonts that I hand paint in a crisp ebony hue.. my signature little red heart is in the lower right corner, this is all done in my in home studio. Then we return to the shop to distress the edges and add to the character. I finish with a poly coating for protection. this make a wonderful gift to your loved one, a wedding gift - or an anniversary gift
