Slight stuffing behind the bodice gives the "bridal dress" a 3-D look. The hanky was folded in a creative fashion and sewn to a contrasting color to effectively showcase the stunning hanky lace. The hanky was NOT cut, but carefully folded and adhered to the pillow by cotton thread. In the future, if the thread is carefully cut and undone, the hanky may possibly be reused, if you want to pass it on to your (grand) daughter for her wedding day. There may be pin pricks in the hanky, due to it being sewn by hand and by machine. But for purposes of longevity and quality craftsmanship, the hanky will be securely sewn to the pillowcase. The pillowcase back will be the same color linen with antique vintage glass or shell buttons that secure the pillow insert. Excellent gift choice for Bride or Mother-of-the-Bride.
