Victorian Glass Buttons (over 100 years old), Celluloid Art Nouveau Buttons, Early Plastic Art Deco Buttons, glass, plastic, resin, wood & Buttons, Mother of pearl buttons, Lucite buttons, Brass Buttons, 2 Piece Buttons, and many more. Certainly the vast majority of buttons here are before the 70's. Peacocks are so showy & glitzy, displaying proudly. So, I added a matching , or complementary sequin to top of each button. The Peacock body is made Hawaiian brown tan bone beads, with Rhinestone aurora Borealis pendant, on large Bakelite like plastic with sparkly gold thread design on peacock head shape with peacock colored bead headdress feather shape top. This work is in the details. I spent an enjoyable 13 hours sewing. Not counting washing buttons, dying & painting 30 buttons. Yes, I own over 1000 beads; but still did not have some the exact colors needed. Designing was a fun challenge. Peacock raw edge applique is sewn to the pale green brocade tightly wrapped around canvas. No Need for a frame. Picture hanger added to back after pictures taken; ready to hang. Measures 20" x 16".
