Vintage Copper & Wire String Art, " This Ol" Farm". Copper Carved Log Cabin Thach Roof w/ Stone Shed, Rising Sun, Wire Art Windmill and Alternator
Copper & Wire String Art, " This Ol" Farm". Copper Carved Log Cabin Thach Roof with Stone Shed, Large Rising Sun, Wire Art Windmill and Alternator. Designed by Suzanne McNeill. Made by me from a Kit from Design R Crafts with a few alterations. Copper carved & shaded, nails hammered in copper wire wound many times for 3-D windmill & alternator done on stippled shaded wood. 17" by 17" ready to hang only weighs 2 pounds.
Handpainted Impressionist desert landscape on sealed MDF panel, overlaid with glass sphere and glass cullet mosaic to mimic cast glass, sealed with eco-friendly acrylic varnish. Sides painted black. Sawtooth hanger on back. In this version of my mosaic overlay technique, 2mm instead of 1mm glass spheres give an abstracted Pointillist effect. A spiral of inlaid larger glass cullet pieces lets more of the design show through, reflects light, and lends a mysterious primitive feel to the piece.
Deco and WPA inspired hand-painted acrylic on MDF panel, overlaid with glass micro-mosaic technique to mimic the look of cast glass with glass spheres and eco-friendly acrylic glaze. The theme was suggested by an East-meets-West art challenge. Framed in repurposed natural wood frame with beige linen mat and hanging hardware on back.
Tree of Life Bonsai in Copper and Bronze with Red Crystal Flower Buds
Brand: Tammy Made It
This tree is made in a soapstone dish. It has red AB glass beads with bronze filigree leaves and bead cap calyces. I deliberately twist the calyces and leaves to add a natural look to the tree. This is a retro design. I was inspired by the gold leaf trees of the 50's or 60's. The copper is upcycled + new copper wire. This tree even makes little tinkling sounds when I dust it with a feather duster. Marble gravels are used in the dish to give it weight. I glued some polished gemstone pebble chips on also. The whole thing is glued together with E6000 glue. I carved my artist initials on the bottom of the pot with the date. I noticed some artists use felt bottoms but that is not what I do. I make doilies from jute and place my rock collection on these for a more natural look. Hopefully, I will be able to sell jute doilies in my store also. Thanks for looking and please come back again sometime.
Upcycled Copper Wire Tree of Life made on LAPIS LAZULI ROUGH - 1.20 POUNDS - FROM AFGHANISTAN
Brand: Tammy Made It
Color: jewel tone
Let me say that this is my first Tree of Life. I fell in love with wire work over the past year. I got some copper wire 26 and 20 gauge. I sat in my yard and tried to make my tree represent my real Japanese Plum Tree. I used stabilized green turquoise and red died coral with tiny yellow seed beads. The Lapis rough is 1.2 lbs and was expensive for a rock. I used E6000 jewelry glue to mount my tree and mixed polished gemstone pebbles to the top. The seashell on the top is a fossil from Aurora, NC phosphor mine. I found it myself when I had the rare opportunity to enter the mine. I carved my initials and the year in the bottom.
