A small garden quilt, complete with a blue sky and summer green borders with blue and yellow flowers. The top right hand corner is predominantly yellow and pale blue fabrics, and I quilted yellow "sun rays" over these fabrics to make it appear that the sun was shining on the garden. I even appliqued a sunny face in the corner! The rest of the image cascades to darker garden flowers. The split border fabrics make the middle image appear to actually be set in a green flower filled garden. Small rings are sewn to the top back for hanging. This art quilt wall hanging depicts a small sunlit field of flowers melting into the blue sky. Using 2" squares, I created a garden awash of flowers at the bottom of the piece. The top right hand corner shows sunshine streaming over the garden flowers with sun face, and the upper left hand corner has a moon face shining through the blue sky. The top border has blue sky fabric and the bottom border, which cuts through on both sides of the quilt, is a garden fabric to replicate a meadow scene. The moon and star face are raw edge appliqued in the top corners. A delightful small garden to brighten your walls. Two small rings are sewn at the top back for hanging. Wetland Diorama Shadowbox of Handmade Frog Pin, Flower Brooch, Dragon Fly Pin, and Butterfly Brooch 11 3/4" inches X 10 X 1 1/2" "with Plexiglas Door. First I went to the Wetlands and got Purple Cattails (in top left of scene) and leaves. I dried, ironed and waxed them. But alas after two years display in enclosed shadowbox, the leaves lost their color. So I painted them. The mixed media used in this diorama scene are: paints, fabric, beads, cattails, felt, organza wire, clasps, thread, batting, ribbons. The 2 1/4"x 1 1/2" frog Brooch is made with a rubber frog fishing lure. The 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" Butterfly Brooch is made with ribbons, beads, organza, wire, luminous trim and clasp on back. The 2" x 2 3/4" Orange Carnation is orange dyed organza, green felt embellished with stitches, and clasp on back so you can remove and wear (same as other 3brooches). The 3" x 3 1/2" Dragonfly brooch has a black shiny bead head with two little eye beads luminous organza lined with wire to shape wings and sewn with metallic blue and gold floss. His tail is made of glass dark blue bugle beads. Also has clasp on back. As you can tell, I love the wetlands and think the nature of it all is beautiful! I ship everywhere. F

This large lovely feminine homemade artwork is made of 25 different ribbons of organza, silk, statin etc, and one bead. The background is black silk. It is hand sewn by me (10 creative hours) in Ribbon & Stump embroidery style. The Ribbon is pulled with pliers through the background fabric to make petals, leaves and stems. The Stump part is where ribbon has padding under to make picture even fuller. This is a very three dimensional picture. Some petals and leaves protrude more than an inch from background. This wall hanging is a feast for the eyes of shimmering, colorful, full of life, nature at its best. The largest flowers stand out nearly an inch from background.
