Twinkling H20 Colors in set: Olive Vine, Cherry Sorbet, Sage, Sea Glass, Siam White & Icy Iris Twinkling H2O's are what is known as luminescent paint. They are different from other paints in the same category because of their formula. Twinks refract light, like a crystal rather than reflecting it the way a mirror would. The quality of the ingredients in Twinkling H2O's is what makes the difference. Twinkling H2O's are made from 100% pure pigments, which give them a richness of tone and depth that is unmatched in the pan watercolor realm. Twinks use the highest grade mica and other proprietary minerals as well as highest grade binders. It is the quality and construct of the mica that makes all the difference. The sparkle and shimmer of Twinkling H2Os add depth and dimension, when used in washes. Realistic images (birds, fish, water, flowers) come alive. Conforms with ASTM D 4236 Safe for educational use

They have a history of use as a potherb and in salads. Flowers were used in ancient Greek, Roman, Middle Eastern and Indian cultures as a medicinal herb as well as a dye for fabrics, foods and cosmetics. Many of these uses persist today. They are also used to make oil that protects the skin.

This painting is based on the life-sized Anubis statue from the Tomb of Tutankhamun, currently housed in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. This painting shows a statue of a jackal, sacred to Anubis, sitting atop a gilded coffin, protecting it, resting on a sedan chair. Anubis is the jackal-headed god associated with mummification and the afterlife. He was usually portrayed as half human, half jackal, or in full jackal form wearing a ribbon. After a funeral, Anubis would take the deceased by the hand and introduce him into the presence of the sovereign judges where the soul of the deceased would be weighed. Anubis was the Guardian of Offerings brought to the ceremony by heirs of the deceased and he also guarded the mummy from evil forces in the night. When the body was embalmed, a priest wearing a jackal mask acted as Anubis's representative. He also was the guardian of the Sacred Esoteric Mysteries. The origin of this God lay in the fact that jackals could be heard howling in the desert to the west of the Nile at sunset-at the time when burials took place.

The cat (meeou-in hieroglyphs) was a pet, as well as a symbol for the goddess Bastet. It was considered to be a sacred and a protective animal, because of its skill of catching mice. This cat has a collar with the Eye of Horus (Wadjat), which stood for protection, strength, and perfection. Bastet was the goddess of fire, cats, of the home and pregnant women. According to one myth, she was the personification of the soul of Isis. The temple of the Pyramid of Khafra at modern-day Giza next to the Sphinx had a "Portal of Bastet" as well as statues of Bastet in the company of the king of Egypt as a symbol for the goddess Bastet. To the right is the Cartouche of King Tutankhamun. A cartouche is a drawing of an oblong or oval magica rope, within which are the hieroglyphics that represent the name of a King or Queen. The cartouche in this painting is the one that is most often associated with King Tut.
