THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL PAINTINGThe painting,15"x15",treated by the advanced simulation technology on the Chinese paintings,has perfectly being restored back to its original style and spirit.It also has the highest artistic quality after the traditional hand-making mounting and it is ideal for the home and office decoration.Abount This Painting and the PainterQichang Dong (1555-1636),was a calligrapher and painter in Ming Dynasty.His ancestry came from Laiyang of Shandong,and his grandfather was awarded a military office in Suzhou.He passed the highest imperial examination in the 17th year of Wanli Era and became an imperial compiler,and eventually rose up to the Minister of Rites.He followed the style of Dong Yuan,Ju Ran,Huang Gongwang and Ni Zang and was noted for landscapes,which were subject to special spatial arrangement,blue-and-green technique and elegant brushwork.Based on Chan Buddhism, he considered there to be a Northern School and a Southern School,and he was a leading figure of the Huating School.As a painter and art theorist,he had a significant influence in late Ming and early Qing Dynasty.In calligraphy,he followed Jin and Tang masters,but formed a style of his own.His extant works include Living beside Rocks (Yan Ju Tu),Eight Views of Autumn Moods (Qiu Xing Ba Jing Tu) and Hometown of Notables (Zhou Jin Tang Tu).
