Using collage, encaustic (wax), image transfers and paint, I explore the writings and theories as well as how nature, myth, and archetypes can capture and connect to our deeper purpose and desires. The morning glory flower blooms and dies within a single day. In the Victorian meaning of flowers, morning glory flowers signify love, affection or mortality. This fiber art is humble attempt to create the flower of "morning glory in a very traditional and geometric way. Traditional motifs are merged together to create the pattern which is hand embroidered and embellished on a square cotton cloth.
